ABOUT THE SAT
The SAT is a nationally administered, standardized test.
There are 4 sections on this multiple-choice test – Reading, Writing & Language, Mathematics.
The test takes 3 hrs.
Scores range between 800 and 1600.
The SAT is offered each school year in August, October, November, December, March, May, and June.
Most students take it in the spring of their junior year. Some repeat the exam in the fall of their senior year.
SAT results are accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the U.S.
ABOUT THE PSAT
The PSAT also known as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) is a standardized test for 10th or 11th graders.
There are 3 sections on this multiple-choice test – Evidenced Based Reading, Writing and Mathematics.
The test takes 2 hrs 45mins.
Scores range between 320 and 1520.
The PSAT is offered once each school year in October.

ABOUT THE ACT
The ACT is a nationally administered, standardized test.
There are 4 sections on this multiple-choice test – English, Mathematics, Reading & Science – and an optional Essay.
The test takes 2 hrs 55 mins (plus 40 mins for the Essay).
Scores range between 1 and 36.
The ACT is offered each school year in September, October, December, February, April, and June.
Most students take it in the spring of their junior year. Some repeat the exam in the fall of their senior year.
ACT results are accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the U.S.
